Adventure Awaits

In 15 days, 10 hours, and 28 minutes I will be on my way to the Middle East. (Yes, the blonde, Arabic-speaking 19-year-old.) To say I am excited, stunned, freaked out, giddy, and overwhelmed would probably be enough to give you a good glimpse of the chaos inside my head. I had never anticipated such a year of adventures, but I'm so incredibly grateful for it.

For the next four months I will be in Jerusalem...10 hours ahead of all you slowpokes in California, with no access to my over-used iPhone or Facebook account. Shocking, I know. So my connection to the world will be lovely email (jahutchins5@gmail.com) and this new little blog. I'm going to be studying with 80 other students from BYU and traveling around Israel, Jordan, and Turkey. That's three more countries to scratch off my nifty world map my sister Juliann gave me. You literally scratch the country with a coin and the tan map turns a bright, pretty color. Best gift ever. Hello favorite new apartment poster.

Next time I write...I'll be on the other side of the world. Can't quite process that. Happy Christmas ("Ron"-"Happy Christmas Harry."). I love you all.

Oh and P.S. Rumor is that people in the Middle East find blondes a mystery. That said, they enjoy petting blonde hair. Fingers crossed that never happens, but I will be sure to keep you updated.
